Los glaciares acumulan más del 75% del agua dulce de la tierra. Sin embargo, todos los años se derriten 335 mil millones de hielo glaciar, lo cual equivale a 3 veces el hielo acumulado en los Alpes. El clima cambió. No está cambiando, ya cambió. Y, como consecuencia, los glaciares podrían desaparecer durante este siglo.

El equipo de Cumbres Blancas nos lleva a un extraordinario viaje por las majestuosas montañas colombianas, nos invita a reflexionar sobre las posibilidades de prolongar la existencia de los glaciares y nos muestra las razones de su irremediable extinción.

Glaciers accumulate more than 75% of the fresh water on earth. However, 335 billion tons of glacier ice melt each year. This is equivalent to 3 times the ice accumulated in the Alps. The weather changed. Is not changing, it already changed. Therefore, glaciers could disappear during this century.

The Cumbres Blancas team takes us on an incredible journey through the majestic Colombian mountains, invites us to reflect on the posibilities of prolonging the existence of glaciers and shows us the reasons for their irremediable extinction.
